I highly recommend this warmer. This is a very good product that plugs into a wall outlet, and it keeps my coffee at a nice warm temperature all day long. I've tried other USB port coffee warmers, and none had come close to the warmth this warmer heats up to. The price is very reasonable too.NOTE:- The cord on my warmer is quite long.- The on/off switch is only 3 inches away from the backside of the warmer, making it easy to reach.- The warmer has a red on/off indicator light on the front which makes it very easy to tell if the unit is on or off.- This warmer has a big heating surface. At least a 1/2 inch wider than a normal size coffee cup.- The only negative issue about this warmer is that the ceramic surface gets pretty hot, but that's not much of a big deal for me, at least.All-in-all, I'm very satisfied.
This cup warmer is totally amazing. I would highly recommend this to other users. I had been struggling with a several year old cup warmer that felt hot to the touch but was only keeping my coffee lukewarm. With this new one, the first sip is still piping hot almost an hour after buying a grande starbucks coffee. I know some people complained about the on/off switch not being directly on the device, but frankly I wouldn't want to be touching the device while it's on and the switch is no more than 6 inches from the base. Enjoy.
By the time I get to shaving, the stuff is even hotter than it started. I use it to warm shaving cream and keep it warm throughout my shave. This warmer has performed admirably under strange circumstances. Granted it's not a full mug of water (or cream), but the fact that it can actually raise the temperature a little bit is a good sign. It's a pretty unorthodox use, but for my purposes I use a large soup cup, warm it thoroughly under hot water inside and out, and set it on the warmer. I then put my cream and hot water in it and lather it up. Highly recommend. Price doesn't hurt either.
Wide base holds large cups. (Not that the base isn't hot enough on it's own). I searched high and low for a flat bottom coffee mug to make more contact with the base warmer to no avail. so I use a 1-1/2"W x 1/16" thick steel washer to fill the space between mug and warmer and Voila, works like a charm. Be sure to turn off the warmer cause it'll carmelize empty coffee at the bottom of cup. I'd recommend this to anyone; have bought a couple more as gifts.
I finally decided to purchase it because unlike other beverage warmers, this one has a whopping 24 watts of power, just enough to keep your beverages warm. The warmer is great. At first, I was hesitant to buy it because the warmer didn't have an on/off switch on the base. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the on/off switch is in a convient place, located on the cord about 2 inches from the base. I would deffinitely purchase this item again.
